Welcome!

Here are some pictures from this fall when a few of us started to dig our new organic garden. We got in just enough work before the snow started to fall.

We had a meeting today (March 25) to talk about our garden building this Saturday. The group is eager to get out and build the beds, John is taking the lead on it since he has the most experience. We met Mary Jo Lane Master Gardener who is guiding us while Sharon is recovering from her injury.
Let's hope the weather will cooperate!

Garden building rescheduled to April 5th, since on our last two dates there was snow on the ground! This time it really looks like it is happening, you can smell spring in the air!
On April first we made our own potting soil mix and some kids were very excited to help. Others just did not want to get their hands dirty - not much longer, because pretty much everyone got a good dose of mud on themselves while they were working on an earthworm reserve-which had to be taken down at the end because the earthworms would probably not have liked sitting on top of a trre-trunk.

Tomorrow we will start our first indoor plantings, I will let you know what we plant afterwards.
